Quick Gracias!
Parents, Tom here. I own the company the Roths have been traveling with for the last 14 years, CRR. On a personal note just wanted to thank all of you for allowing this trip to be possible. We got to the point where our homestay project and much credit to Ridgefield groups have allowed the moms to receive a full year's salary only working 40 days a year. Around 20 groups for two nights each. This is rural Costa Rica, and moms don't have work, and it's been awesome seeing them grow. When COVID hit, the plug was pulled, and tourism has received no financial help. My entire vision of sustainable tourism didn't feel so sustainable anymore. You have no idea how grateful we are to have Ridgefield this year and the financial help to the community (where I live). The Roth Family and Ridgefield families are as much a part of CRR as our staff. I still talk to students from 12 years ago that are doing amazing things in this world. They should bottle the water in Ridgefield becaus...
We made it!!!!
Hola Ridgefield Parents, It was a long first day, but all in all, everything went great. The students had a nice introduction to Costa Rica with a traditional first meal and a nice traffic jam in San Jose. The guides and I kept telling each other that not one kid made one negative comment about the delays. Great group, we have here and super excited to get the day started. We got to the homestays a little later than expected, but everyone was waiting for us with balloons and banners making it feel like home for the students. These families are very excited to have Ridgefield. We will get some close-up pictures today and post them around mid-day. Here are some pics from yesterday. Hope everyone has a nice weekend in Ridgefield. It's a beautiful day in Sitio de Mata!!!
Great news 😊 thanks for keeping them safe, healthy and thank goodness for vaccinations!
